Plagiomnium elatum ( Syn. Mnium elatum ) is a Laubmoosart from the family of Mniaceae and is part of the collective species (aggregate) Plagiomnium affine s. l. In contrast to the very similar plagiomnium affine s. st. it colonizes more humid locations such as spring spots, damp meadows, moors , swamps and reed beds. It also tolerates calcareous soils.
description
The lamina cells are about 2 to 3 times as long as they are wide. The leaf base runs down long and wide. The plants can also grow ascending or overhanging.
