description
Plagiomnium affine is a deciduous moss that can grow up to 10 cm. It grows prostrate or ascending. Its trunks, however, are often bent down. Plagiomnium affine has flattened leaves. Its rounded leaves are ovate and clearly serrated or serrated on the edge. The leaf vein ends just below or in the leaf tip. The large, up to 1 mm long, hexagonal lamina cells are about 1.5 to 2 times longer than wide and always (often indistinctly) spotted . The fertile plants are leafy and form one to three sporogons that grow from the same rosette of leaves .
