Plamen Kralew
Plamen Simeonow Kralew ( Bulgarian Пламен Кралев ; born February 22, 1973 in Sofia ) is a Bulgarian racing car driver and businessman. He competed in Formula 2 from 2010 to 2012 .
Career in motorsport
At the age of 34, Kralew started his motor sport career relatively late in the Ferrari Challenge Coppa Shell , a sports car racing series, and finished eleventh overall with two race wins. In 2008 Kralew was active in several sports car racing series and again won two races in the Ferrari Challenge Coppa Shell. He also made his debut in the International GT Open .
In 2009 Kralew started again in some races of the International GT Open, the Le Mans Series and also took part in the 24-hour race of Le Mans , but was not classified. From October Kralew made his first experiences in formula racing and went to the start for Trident Racing in the GP2 Asia Series season 2009/2010 . Together with Vladimir Arabajev , he was the first Bulgarian to start in this racing series. At the end of the season he finished 33rd overall. In 2010 , Kralew competed in Formula 2 and finished 20th overall. In 2011 , Kralew completed his second season in Formula 2. At the end of the season he was 24th in the championship. In 2012 , Kralew contested his third Formula 2 season. He improved to 17th place in the drivers' championship.
