Plantago arborescens is a species of plantain ( Plantago ).
description
The shrub reaches a height of 60 centimeters. The leaves are narrow, almost threadlike and 2 to 6 cm long and 0.75 to 1.25 cm wide. The leaves are almost glabrous or soft gray-haired and only ciliate at the edge.
Occurrence
Plantago arborescens is endemic to Madeira and the Canary Islands with the exception of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura . The species grows from the coastal zone to medium mountain regions by 1000 m.
