criticism

"The film is critical, but the facade is hollow: It is not interested in the question of the meaning of this slaughter, rather it celebrates the war in Vietnam as a purely male adventure."

At cinema.de the film is referred to as the “pathetic ripper” and “filthy copy” of the anti-war film Platoon , which was filmed two years earlier under the direction of Oliver Stone .
