Plenty Enuff is a Swiss ska and reggae band from Schaffhausen .
history
The band was founded in 1997 by guitarist Philipp Albrecht, drummer René Albrecht and bassist Christoph Lenz. In 2000 the singer Christian Erne joined them. In 2005, her first LP, “Schauermärchen” is released. They often perform in Eastern Switzerland and in 2005 they performed at the Open Air Langmatt and the OpenAir St. Gallen . Christoph Lenz is originally Irish and was the only one who spoke good English when it was founded. They therefore called themselves "Plenty enough" first and later changed the spelling to "Plenty Enuff".
The English and German texts are mostly about political issues.
style
You yourself describe your music as "Roots Rebel Ska": A mixture of traditional Ska and reggae- oriented sound. This style is sometimes markedly different from Ska. For example Plenty Enuff attacks almost exclusively on minor - scales back. There are also significant influences from soul and jazz .
After they broke up in 2008, Philipp and Réne Albrecht and Dave Aro founded the band Min King .
