Podlesí , 1923–1947 Markartov (German Markusgrün ) is a district of Dolní Žandov in Okres Cheb in the Czech Republic .
Geographical location
It is located about 15 km northwest of Marienbad , a few kilometers east of the road Marienbad - Cheb (Eger).
history
The oldest mention of Markusgrün can be found in the Leuchtenberger Lehenbuch (1362 to 1390) in the form of Markchartsgrün. The Leuchtenberg fiefdoms were each half Engelhart and Gumprecht von Königwart .
The population grew slowly but steadily. She cheated:

- 1947: 61
Eight men died in World War I and eleven in World War II. In 1923 the Czech place name Markartov was introduced.
In 1947 the municipality was renamed Podlesí .
Incorporations
In 1960 it was incorporated into Dolní Žandov .
