The Poggendorfer Trebel is a river in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It is the larger of the two source rivers of the Trebel and therefore classified as their upper reaches. It rises north of the village of Zarnewanz in the area of the municipality of Süderholz . From there it flows in a westerly to northwestern direction. After crossing under the A 20 motorway bridge , it flows northwards through Grimmen and here separates the suburb of the station from the old town. Then the Schwedengraben connects from the east , which connects the Trebel with the Ryckgraben via a pseudobifurcation . Then the Poggendorfer Trebel turns to the west and joins the Kronhorster Trebel, which rises to the northwest, to the Trebel, which flows further east to Tribsees , but then flows to the southwest.
