Pohrebky ( Ukrainian Погребки ; Russian Погребки Pogrebki ) is a village in the Ukrainian Sumy Oblast with about 600 inhabitants (2004).
The village, first mentioned in 1552, was called Korottschenkowe between 1969 and 2016 after the Ukrainian-Soviet politician Demjan Korottschenko , who was born here in 1894 and was chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR from 1954 to 1969 . In 2016 the village got its old name Pohrebky again .
The village is located at the mouth of the Swirsch ( Свірж ) in the Desna in the west of the Shostka district 14 kilometers southeast of the city of Novhorod- Siverskyj , located in the Chernihiv Oblast . The Shostka district center is 27 kilometers southeast and the Sumy oblast center is about 200 kilometers southeast of the village.
The village is the center of the district council of the same name , to which the villages Ostrouschky ( Остроушки ⊙ ) with about 160 inhabitants and Swirsch ( Свірж ⊙ ) with about 150 inhabitants belong.
