Polesine Parmense is a fraction of the Italian commune ( comune ) Polesine Zibello in the province of Parma , Emilia-Romagna region .
geography
Polesine Parmense is located about 31.5 kilometers northwest of Parma on the right bank of the Po in close proximity to the provinces of Cremona ( Lombardy ) and Piacenza . The inhabitants are called Polesinesi .
history
The municipality of Polesine Parmense merged with Zibello on January 1, 2016 to form the new municipality of Polesine Zibello. The municipality had 1465 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2013) and an area of 25 km². It consisted of the factions Ardella, Ardola, La Motta, Ongina, Santa Croce, Vidalenzo, and Santa Franca. The patron saint of Polesine Parmenses is San Vito .
