The Politikfabrik is a student agency for political communication . It was founded at the Otto Suhr Institute (OSI) at the Free University of Berlin and was known nationwide through its first-time voter campaign Die WAHL GANG in the federal election campaign in 2002 , especially through the online tool " Wahl-O-Mat " it developed.

In the Political Factory, political and communication science students work on a voluntary basis, currently on various political education projects. The Politikfabrik is a registered association with a board of students and a board of trustees. History and projects

In the election campaign for the 2005 Bundestag election , the first-time voter campaign was relaunched. The aim was to motivate young people to vote and to offer decision support. A project of the Political Factory was the interactive media trip "stadt.land.plus Turkey" as a new edition of the project eu_checker Bulgaria and Romania 2007 and stadt.land.plus Ukraine under the patronage of the then Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier . The project was u. a. realized in cooperation with the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Allianz Kulturstiftung . Political Factory is again sending young people for two weeks as ambassadors and multipliers for the German public on the social media-focused travel project in EU accession countries.

Various projects have been carried out over the past few years, such as the online project Connecting rivers for European integration, the Model G8 Youth Summit , the European Science Parliament and the public affairs congress “Power Consulting Politics” . The specialist congress for political communication “Politics as a Brand” attracted attention , at which campaign managers Matthias Machnig , Michael Spreng and Fritz Goergen also discussed journalists and politicians such as Brigitte Zypries , Hans-Christian Ströbele and Silvana Koch-Mehrin . The third edition of the first book by political manufacturers that takes up the results of the “Politics as Brand” congress and asks about the opportunities and limits of the marketing of politics has now been published.
