Polly Kügler-Leistner

Leopoldine Kügler-Leistner (born November 30, 1920 in Vienna ; † December 26, 2000 there ) was an Austrian actress and director .

After taking private lessons with the actor Fritz Blum and the stage maturity test before the joint examination commission, she worked as a freelance actress at ORF . From 1946 to 1955 she was a producer, dramaturge, director and actress at the station Rot-Weiß-Rot . In 1950 she was the first woman to stage the “Theater der Courage” at Stella Kadmon's Vienna .

After training in radio at the Italian public broadcaster RAI in Rome , Kügler was from 1957 to 1975 production manager for film , radio and television at the "Lintas-Werksagentur". During her teaching activities from 1959 to 1990 at the Krauss drama school, numerous later celebrities passed through her hands. After her retirement in 1975 she made her knowledge of casting questions available to the “Austroconcert”.

Kügler-Leistner received the professional title of professor as a drama teacher in 1978, the Silver Medal of Honor in 1988 for services to the Republic of Austria and in 1997 the Silver Medal of Honor for services to the State of Vienna .

She was buried on the urn wall of the Simmering fire hall (Department ML, Group 97, No. 3) in Vienna.
