Pontus Hanson (born May 24, 1894 in Kristinehamn , † December 4, 1962 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish swimmer and water polo player .

Hanson first took part in the 1908 Olympics, both in swimming and water polo, and won bronze medals in the 200m breaststroke and with the team in water polo. Four years later he took part again as a swimmer and in water polo, but could not celebrate any success in swimming. With the water polo team, he moved into the final and lost it, with which he got the silver medal. In 1920 he was again awarded the bronze medal in water polo.

His brother, Sven , who was two years older, was also a swimmer.
