The powiat Sejneński is a powiat (district) in the Polish Podlaskie Voivodeship with the district town of Sejny . It covers an area of ​​856.07 km² and is the poorest in Poland with a population of around 21,000.

Communities

The powiat comprises five municipalities , one of which is an urban municipality and four rural municipalities. The municipality of Puńsk has been officially bilingual since 2006, as the Lithuanian population in this municipality makes up over 20%.
