Première Division (Burkina Faso) 2008/09

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2008/09 season of the Première Division was the 47th season of the Burkinabe Football Championship since the independence of the former Upper Volta in 1960. 14 teams played for the title, which ASFA-Yennenga was able to win for the eighth time. The bottom of the table ASF Bobo-Dioulasso and the capital city clubs CF and US had to relegate in the course of a regulation that is supposed to restrict the clubs from Ouagadougou. Promoted from the Deuxième Division were SSC-B Boromo, AS-SONABEL Ouagadougou and AS-Maya Bobo-Dioulasso.
