The SC Preußen 1910 Hindenburg-Zaborze (short SC Preußen Hindenburg , formerly also SC Preußen Zaborze ) was a sports club from the Hindenburg district of Zaborze , which is now called Zabrze, Zaborze Północ and belongs to Poland .
history
The original club was founded in 1909 under the name Football Club Borussia 1909 Zaborze and belonged to the Southeast German Football Association . Zaborze was a neighboring town of the Upper Silesian industrial community of Zabrze. On August 23, 1910 Borussia Zaborze was united with FC Viktoria Zaborze , SC Silesia Zaborze and SC Zabrze to form SC Prussia 1910 Zaborze . After the municipality of Zabrze was renamed Hindenburg OS in 1915 , the club name was changed to SC Preußen Hindenburg . In 1918 the Sportfreunde Hindenburg also joined the club. In 1920 it was renamed SC Preußen Zaborze again . The municipality of Zaborze was incorporated into the city of Hindenburg in 1927. In 1934 the company was renamed SC Preußen Hindenburg again .
In 1928, 1930 and 1931 the Association of Upper Silesian Masters became. In 1929 , the Southeast German Championship was also won, which entitled to participate in the final round of the German Championship . The club was eliminated in the round of 16 after an 8-1 defeat against Hertha BSC .
In addition to soccer , the club also played athletics and handball .
