Primera Air Nordic was a Latvian charter airline based in Riga and based at Riga Airport . It was a subsidiary of Primera Air Scandinavia .

history

Primera Air Nordic was founded in September 2014 and started operations in October 2014 with a Boeing 737-800 . In the course of 2015, the fleet was supplemented by three more 737-800s. All machines come from the inventory of Primera Air Scandinavia .

On May 11, 2017, Primera Air Nordic announced the leasing of eight Boeing 737 MAX 9s . The planes from Air Lease Corporation , like the 737 MAX 9 from Primera Air Scandinavia, are to be used on flights to the US east coast .

On October 1, 2018, Primera Air announced at short notice that it was bankrupt and that it would cease flight operations from midnight.

Destinations

Primera Air Nordic flew to typical holiday destinations for tour operators, mainly in the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands .
