Prince Albert is a municipality in the Central Karoo District , Western Cape Province , South Africa . In 2011, 13,136 inhabitants lived here on a total area of 8,153 km². The seat of the municipal administration is the city of the same name.
The community is named after Queen Victoria’s husband of Great Britain , Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha .
