Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracles ( Japanese レ イ ト ン 教授 と 奇跡 の 仮 面 , Reiton-kyōju to Kiseki no Kamen ) is a puzzle game for the Nintendo 3DS that was first released in Japan in 2011 and in Europe in October 2012 . It is the fifth installment in the Professor Layton series .

action

The action continues after the adventures in Misthallery. About a year after Professor Layton and Luke return from there, Angela Ledore, an old friend of Professor Layton, calls them to the desert city of Monte d'Or. In the midst of the city's carnival parade, a terrible tragedy breaks out: some of the spectators have been turned to stone! Before Layton can find out who is behind it all, a mysterious figure, the so-called Masked Gentleman, appears before them. Now, as always, it is up to the professor and his loyal companions to find out the truth about the Masked Gentleman.

mystery

As in the last Professor Layton adventures, the main focus of the game is solving puzzles. The game contains a total of 150 puzzles, including bonus puzzles. There are also 365 optional “puzzles of the day” that can be downloaded from the Internet .
