Prolegal Interest Group for Arms Possession eV (short Prolegal , proper spelling : prolegal ) is an association that works mainly for the liberalization of the gun law in Germany . He is part of the weapons lobby .

Club profile and objectives

Prolegal was founded in November 2009. The association, which is independent of the association, represents nationwide the interests of private, legal gun owners such as shooters , hunters , gun collectors , but also paintball athletes and knife collectors in Germany. Prolegal is listed in the overview of comparable international organizations by the IAPCAR. Prolegal publishes monthly newsletters to inform the public and association members. The newsletters are available in printed and electronic form.

Club history

The association was founded on November 28, 2009; the constituent meeting with the election of the board took place on December 13, 2009. At the IWA 2010 arms fair in Nuremberg, Prolegal was accepted as a German representative in the “International Association for the Protection of Civilian Arms Rights” (IAPCAR).

controversy

On its own website, Prolegal claimed in 2012 that the Green politician Claudia Roth was carrying a gun in her handbag. Roth forced the association to take the report aside and described the actions of Prolegal as a perfidious attempt to spread a rumor on the Internet with unfounded allegations .
