Prospect is an American science fiction film directed by Zeek Earl and Chris Caldwell . The main roles are Pedro Pascal , Sophie Thatcher and Jay Duplass . The film premiered on March 5, 2018 at the South by Southwest Film Festival, where it won the Adam Yauch Hörnblowér Award. It hit theaters on November 2, 2018.

Cee is a teenager and with her father Damon on a transfer to a strange, hostile moon. The two want to recover valuable pearls from a clutch there. But your company is under bad omen. The time to return from the fringes of human influence is ticking relentlessly. When they encounter the seedy Ezra and his silent companion, events roll over. After her father and Ezra's companion are killed in an exchange of fire, Cee is left to fend for himself. Although Ezra killed her father, she eventually tries to leave the moon with his help.
This adventure proves difficult. Ezra loses his arm as a result of an injury inflicted by Cee. He is offered a barter by the colonists with the aim of handing over the girl, and at the clutch the two have to deal with mercenaries who are angry that they are unable to retrieve the valuable pearls from the clutch.

The screenplay was written by Zeek Earl and Christopher Caldwell, both also directed. At the beginning of their joint film project, they asked for donations on kickstarter.com and collected a total of US $ 21,298 to continue their project.
When they screened the completed film at the South by Southwest Festival, it won the Adam Yauch Hörnblowér Award. Dust then bought the screening rights to the film, which was shown in Regal Cinemas in the USA on November 2, 2018 .
