Pedro Pascal
José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal (born April 2, 1975 in Santiago de Chile ) is an American actor of Chilean origin.
Life
Pascal was born in the Chilean capital Santiago de Chile. Shortly after his birth, his family left the country due to the terror of the dictatorial military regime under Augusto Pinochet and found political asylum in Denmark . Soon afterwards the family emigrated to the USA, where Pascal spent most of his youth. He lived there in San Antonio , Texas and later in Orange County, California . In 1993 Pascal moved to New York City , where he completed an acting degree at the Tisch School of the Arts .
Career
As an actor, Pascal has appeared in a number of different television series. These include Buffy the Vampire Slayer , Good Wife , Homeland , The Mentalist and Graceland .
In 2006 he played the role of a kidnapper in an episode of the crime series Criminal Intent . He was also cast in the pilot episode of a series adaptation of the superhero Wonder Woman planned for 2011 . However, the series never aired on television as NBC television network had no interest in the project.
In 2014, Pascal played the role of Prince Oberyn Martell in seven episodes of the fourth season of the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones .
2015 joined Pascal together with Heidi Klum in the music video Fire Meet Gasoline by Sia on. In the same year he took on as DEA agent Javier Peña one of the leading roles in the Netflix series Narcos , which dealt with the Colombian drug war and the hunt for Pablo Escobar .
In 2017 he played the role of Agent Whiskey in the feature film Kingsman: The Golden Circle . Since 2019 he has been a leading actor in the Star Wars - Real series The Mandalorian to see.
Pascal also worked as an actor and producer at the theater. He has starred in various productions on the Los Angeles and New York City stages and has won two awards for his performances.
In 2018 he was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
