Prostitute Disfigurement is a brutal death metal band from Veldhoven in the Netherlands , which was founded in 2000.
Band history
Prostitute Disfigurement began as a team of three, without a drummer, under the name Disfigure and released a demo album of the same name . After their second concert and the entry of another guitarist , they got a contract with the Dutch label Dismemberment Records . They changed their name to Prostitute Disfigurement and released their first album Embalmed Madness in October 2001 , for which they used a drum computer , in an edition of 1000 pieces. The album was later re-released on the Unmatched Brutality label .
In 2003 Prostitute Disfigurement was able to sign with the German music label Morbid Records and in August 2003 they released their second album Deeds of Derangement , this time with a drummer. After that, Prostitute Disfigurement toured a lot, performing at festivals such as Obscene Extreme , Morbid Festival and the Rotterdam Deathfest . They stood on stage with bands like Suffocation , Exhumed and Gorerotted .
In June 2005 they released their third album Left in Grisly Fashion on Neurotic Records . The album included guest appearances by members of the bands Disavowed , Arsebreed and Pyaemia . From 2005 to 2006 Prostitute Disfigurement gave concerts all over Europe, from Scandinavia to Italy , from Great Britain to Hungary , with Vomitory and Rotten Sound as well as Deicide and Wykked Witch , among others .
In 2008 the band Descendants of Depravity's penultimate album was released , which was also recorded as a limited version with a live DVD in the Dynamo Club in Eindhoven in 2007. The album was produced by Andy Classen .
Music genre
Prostitute Disfigurement started out as a slam death metal group. Frontman Niels Adams used deep pig squeals, while the rest of the band members played more or less monotonous slam death. However, this changed with the release of “Descendants Of Depravity” in 2008 at the latest, which finally made the change from Slam Death to Brutal Death. Instead of deep squeals, deep growls followed, while the band played a much faster and more technical style.
