Prosus is an investment company that was founded in 2019 by the South African Naspers group.

Naspers outsourced its Internet holdings to Prosus and floated the company on the stock exchange in September 2019. Prosus has been listed on Euronext Amsterdam since then, with a secondary listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange . When it went public, the company was valued at 95 billion euros and included in the Euronext 100 index and the AEX index . After the IPO, Naspers remained the majority owner with a 73% stake.

Prosus' most important stake is a 31% stake in the Chinese Tencent group. This stake was transferred from Naspers to Prosus when the company was founded. As of June 2020, Prosus also held 22% of the shares in Delivery Hero , 28% in the Mail.Ru Group and other notable shares in various Internet and technology companies.
