The Prva liga SR Jugoslavije 1998/99 was the seventh season of the top division of the BR Yugoslavia . The game was played from August 7, 1998 to March 20, 1999.

The defending champion was FK Obilić .

mode

The league started the season with 18 teams. These played against each other twice during the season; once at home and once away. Of the planned 34 match days, only 24 were carried out. On May 14, 1999, the league was officially closed because of the NATO attacks on the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia . On June 12, 1999, Partizan Belgrade was proclaimed Master.

There was no relegation. FC Prishtina moved to the Kosovo League .
