The Neil Pryde Ltd. is an international manufacturer and distributor of sporting goods based in Hong Kong , which operates as the Pryde Group . The group of companies has branches in over 40 countries and employs more than 2500 people. She sells various Windsurf - Kitesurf - and snowboard brands and neoprene - and winter clothes. The Pryde Group is 100% owned by the Hong Kong-based Shriro Group .

History of the German subsidiary
Manfred Rassweiler founded Shriro Sportvertrieb GmbH in Unterhaching on August 14, 1991 , which initially took over the distribution of Tiga windsurfing boards . In 1992 Shriro took over the distribution of the world market leader for windsurfing sails , NeilPryde . Two years later, NeilPryde Neoprene joined the group. After the company moved from Unterhaching to Taufkirchen in 1999 , at the end of the year it concluded a sales contract with Roberto Ricci Design ( RRD ), which at the time was a small manufacturer of high-quality windsurf boards. A major expansion of the group took place in 2000. Here the group took over JP Australia, one of the leading windsurf board manufacturers, and also expanded its range with the kit surf brand Cabrinha . In 2004, Shriro took over the snowboard brand Flow and the winter clothing manufacturer Icetools . A year later, Shriro Sportvertrieb was renamed Pryde Group GmbH after the parent company . In the same year, a kite clothing brand was added with NPX , which in 2012 was combined with NeilPryde neoprene to form the NP Surf brand . In 2011 the SUP brand Imagine was also taken over. In 2014 and 2017, the Pryde Group's portfolio was expanded to include two snowboard brands ( Pow Gloves and Nidecker ).

NeilPryde
NeilPryde was the first major brand under the Pryde Group umbrella and remains the most important to this day. It was founded in 1981 and has also been supplying windsurfing boards and sails for the RS: X Olympic windsurfing discipline since the 2008 Summer Olympics . The brand has also been world champion in the sail constructors' classification of the Windsurf World Cup several times .
JP Australia
JP Australia was founded in 1997 by the then world champion Jason Polakow and presented its first windsurfing products at the ISPO that same year . Today the company mainly produces windsurfing & stand-up paddling boards, accessories and beachwear and has already sponsored the Aloha Classic in Hoʻokipa on Maui .
RRD (Roberto Ricci Design)
RRD was founded by Roberto Ricci in Italy in 1995 and mainly produces windsurfing boards , but now also SUP boards , kiteboards and water clothing. The eleven-time world champion Antoine Albeau is also under contract with RRD .
Cabrinha
Cabrinha was founded in Maui in 2001 by wind and kite surfer Pete Cabrinha and has been run by him to this day. According to the Pryde Group , Cabrinha is a leading manufacturer of kites and kiteboards.
NP Surf
Building on the neoprene brands NeilPryde Neopren and NPX , the NP Surf brand was founded in 2013 . The portfolio of NP Surf extends with more than 200 products from different wetsuits, harnesses, gloves, shoes to hats and boardbags.
Winter sports
Nidecker
Nidecker was founded in 1887 and has been producing snowboards since 1984 . Nidecker now also produces SUP boards .
FLOW
FLOW developed the step-in system for bindings together with NeilPryde . In the following years the product range was expanded to include boots and boards.
POW gloves
POW Gloves was founded in 2002 by Dustin Goss. According to its own information, the brand now sells its products in over 30 countries worldwide.
Icetools
Icetools was founded in 1986 and has been part of the Pryde Group since 2004 . The product range mainly includes winter and snow clothing and, since 2000, also protectors for winter sports enthusiasts.
