Puerto Aroma (also: Puerto Jaruma ) is a town in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Puerto Aroma is the central place of the canton Aroma and the largest town in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Chacarilla in the province of Gualberto Villarroel . The village is located at an altitude of 3798  m on the left bank of the Río Desaguadero , which connects Lake Titicaca with Lake Poopó .

Puerto Aroma is located on the Bolivian Altiplano between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east.
