Pukar ( Urdu : پُکر, Hindi : पुकर) is a 1983 Hindi film directed by Ramesh Behl and starring Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman .

Purandare, Narvekar and Dinanath are three revolutionaries who want to achieve Goa's independence . Although India has been independent from Great Britain since 1947 , Goa is subject to the Portuguese . When the police are after Dinanath, he flees with his son Ramdas and Purandare. Dinanath is shot dead by Purandare. And soon Ramdas changes his name to Ronnie and befriends Julie.
Now that Ronnie grows up, he becomes a police officer. One day the chief inspector is killed and Ronnie and his colleagues try to catch the murderer Shekhar. They succeed and Shekhar is sentenced to death in court. Ronnie realizes that the citizens are on the side of the revolutionaries. When Ronnie learns that his father had fought for independence, he realizes that he is investigating for the wrong side. So he befriends Shekhar and both triumph in the end.
