Egressive

Egressive (from Latin egressum , `` gone out '' ), expiratory or pulmonary denote in phonetics the sound production by exhaling against the lips. The hyoid bone ( hyoid ) is raised here, the glottis ( glottis ) closes. Non-pulmonary sounds, on the other hand, are the implosives , the click sounds and the rare ingressives .
