The Vincent Pyramid ( Walser German Vincentpiamid ; Italian Piramide Vincent , French Pyramid Vincent ) is a 4215 m high peak in the southern part of Monte Rosa . It is just under a kilometer south of the Italian-Swiss border. The border between Aosta Valley and Piedmont runs above the summit . The highest point of the pyramid forms the easternmost point of the Lys Glacier and to the south-east below the Indren Glacier runs in a south-westerly direction . It was first climbed on August 5th, 1819 by Johann Nikolaus Vincent, after whom the summit was named.
