Purzien is a district of Annaburg in Saxony-Anhalt , Germany . The place is on the country road between Schweinitz and Annaburg.

history

The place is first mentioned under the name Bortzin in a deed of donation from 1339 issued by Rudolf I. Until 1815 the place belonged to the office of Annaburg . In 1550, 18 possessed men lived here, eleven of whom were coaches and seven gardeners who were directly subordinate to the Lochau office. The spelling of the place name at that time was Burtzien .

The town hall bordered with the towns of Schweinitz, Jessen and Lochau and the villages of Klossa , Löben and the Annaburg Heath .

Purzien was already a branch of the church in Annaburg in the 16th century.

On February 16, 2003, Purzien was incorporated into Annaburg.

Culture and sights
