The Ppeokkugi is a leisure activity vehicle of the lower middle class and in December 2002 by the North Korean Pyeonghwa Motors in Fiat - license produced. Sister model is the first generation Fiat Doblò . The model largely corresponds to Fiat's European sister model. The vehicle parts come from Italian and Brazilian production and are only assembled as a CKD kit. The Pyeonghwa Ppeokkugi uses 4-cylinder petrol engines with an output of 103 hp and a displacement of 1596 cm³.
With the Ppeokkugi, Pyeonghwa primarily wants to appeal to large families and business people. Outside of North and South Korea, the model is also imported into the People's Republic of China and, since summer 2009, from a car dealership in the Czech Republic. A slight modification is necessary here, however, as some of the vehicle parts did not pass the homologation .

As Ppeokkugi II, Pyeonghwa has been building a five to seven-seater upper middle class SUV since 2004 . The sister model is the no longer produced Chinese Dandong Shuguang . The Ppeokkugi II is only available in North and South Korea. In South Korea, the Ppeokkugi II has since occupied the most important model position for PMC due to its high sales. The main opponents are the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and the Nissan X-Trail . In Vietnam, the model was also produced by the Mekong Auto Corporation and was named Pronto DX . In 2009 the model was then replaced by its successor, the Pronto GS .
The Ppeokkugi II is equipped with diesel engines with an output of 182 kW (248 hp) and a displacement of 2,237 cm³. These come from the Chinese Liaoning SG Automotive Group Co., Ltd. which, among other things, incorporated Shuanghuan in 2009 .

Under the model name Ppeokkugi 4WD, Pyeonghwa has been offering three different off-road vehicles since spring 2009, which have not been divided into individual models, but all three run under the same model name in Korea and only differ by an unofficial name affix.
The entry-level model is a sports utility vehicle as a sister model to the Chinese HuangHai DD6490A , which in Korea is called 4WD-A and is known in Vietnam under the name Pronto GS . The 4WD-A is powered by a Subaru V8 petrol engine with a displacement of 2351 cm³. The Pronto GS from Vietnam, on the other hand, uses a Fiat engine with a displacement of 1997 cm³ and an output of 114 kW.
As a women's model, however, the 4WD-B ranks in the middle of the Ppeokkugi 4WD series. This is produced by the Hyundai Motor Company in Nošovice in the Czech Republic as a CKD kit and assembled in Ulsan, South Korea. The 4WD-B is represented in the model range in both North Korea and South Korea. The model is also offered in small numbers in the People's Republic of China and the Czech Republic. In contrast, the model is not represented on the Vietnamese market. Sister model is the Hyundai Santa Fe of the CM generation. The model is only produced to order and is a product under Badge Engineering and the Pyeonghwa-Hyundai-ArvinMentor joint venture.
The top model is the 4WD-C, which bears the name Premio MAX in Vietnam and was first presented to the public at the 2004 Motor Show in the Hoang Van Thu National Exhibition Center . Older Chevrolet pick-ups served as a model for the new model. At the same time, General Motors also revised its Chevrolet S-10 . So it happened that in September 2004 the Pyeonghwa Premio MAX and the Chevrolet Colorado were presented at the same time and both companies accuse each other of having brought corporate espionage and unauthorized plagiarism into series production. Despite these allegations, none of the companies has sought legal action against the other to date. Both the 4WD-C and the Premio MAX are powered by diesel engines of the type 4JB1 TL, which have an output of 75 kW and a displacement of 2771 cm³. The model has also been available as HuangHai SG Plutus in the People's Republic of China since July 2008 . The vehicle parts are supplied by Mekong Auto.
