Kadesh , and Kadesh , Qedeschet or Qadschu , is an ancient Egyptian protective deity, originally in Syriac / Canaanite was revered space.
In ancient Egypt, Qadesh or Qedeschet is documented from the 18th to the 20th dynasty . She was invoked, among other things, as a protective deity against disease demons. In addition, she was considered the goddess of sacred ecstasy and sexual pleasure. Qadesch later formed his own triad of gods with Min and Reschef . There are also connections with the Egyptian Hathor and the Near Eastern goddesses Astarte and Anat .
Mostly Qadesh is portrayed frontally as a naked woman standing on the back of a lion; a spotted snake and lotus flowers in the hands.
