Qairat Qoshamsharov

Qairat Perneschuly Qoschamscharow ( Kazakh Қайрат Пернешұлы Қожамжаров , Russian Кайрат Пернешович Кожамжаров ; born March 24, 1964 in Jambul , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician.

Life

He graduated from the Zhdanov State University of Leningrad in 1987 as a lawyer.

After graduating from university, he worked in various positions at various law enforcement agencies in the Shambyl area until 1995 . From September 1995 he worked for the Kazakh customs authority and from July 1999 he was chief inspector for particularly important cases, deputy head of the second steering committee of the tax police of the Ministry of State Revenue of Kazakhstan and deputy head of the investigative department of the tax police of the Ministry of State Revenue. From February 2002 to May 2004 he was the deputy head of the department for combating economic and corruption crimes (financial police) in Almaty and then until January 2007 head of the department for combating economic and corruption crimes (financial police) in the Aqtöbe region . Subsequently, he first became deputy chairman of the Kazakhstani Agency for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption, and from December 12, 2008 he was its chairman. On January 21, 2012 he was appointed Äkim (governor) of the Aqmola area . He only held this post for about a year before becoming Assistant to the Kazakh President and Secretary of the Security Council in January 2013. From August 6, 2014, Qoshamsharov was chairman of the Public Service and Anti-Corruption Agency. From December 11, 2015, he was chairman of the national anti-corruption bureau. On December 11, 2017, he became the Attorney General of Kazakhstan.

He has been a member of the Kazakh Senate since March 19, 2019 .
