Asqat Qaisollauly Dauylbajew ( Kazakh Асқат Қайзоллаұлы Дауылбаев , Russian Асхат Кайзуллаевич Даулбаев Aschat Kaisullajewitsch Daulbajew * 22. November 1962 in Aktyubinsk , Kazakhstan SSR ) is a Kazakh lawyer .

Life

Asqat Dauylbajew was born in Aktyubinsk in 1962 . Between 1981 and 1983 he did military service in the Soviet army . He then started studying law at the Sverdlovsk Institute of Law , which he finished in 1987.

After graduating from university, he first worked in various positions for the public prosecutor's office in the Oktyabrsky district (now Türksib) in the city of Alma-Ata . Between 1990 and 1992 he was Deputy Public Prosecutor of Kalininski District and Deputy Prosecutor of Oktyabrsky District. Then he was again employed by the Prosecutor of the City of Almaty and from February 1994 Dauylbayev was Deputy Chairman of the Almaty Arbitration Court. After six months in this post he was employed by the Kazakh Prosecutor General from August of the same year. From November 1997 to February 1999 he was Deputy Minister of Justice of Kazakhstan and then Vice President of KazakhTelecom until November of that year . In the 1999 parliamentary elections, he ran for the Kazakh Citizens' Party for a seat in the Mäschilis , the Kazakh parliament. Here he headed a commission for legal issues. On January 16, 2001, he became Deputy Attorney General, and from April 15, 2011, he became Attorney General. Dauylbayev has been a member of the Kazakh Constitutional Council since April 27, 2016 .
