Quibala (also Kibala ) is a village and a district in Angola .
history
On January 15, 1974, Quibala was raised to a small town ( Vila ) under Portuguese colonial administration . In the civil war in Angola after the country gained independence in 1975, Quilanda suffered extensive destruction. The reconstruction programs started after the peace treaty in 2002 are now having an effect. Numerous administrative buildings were rebuilt by 2011, and facilities for education, health and energy were also rebuilt. An economic recovery has since set in, which is to be further stimulated by further ongoing government subsidy programs.
administration
Quibala is the seat of a district of the same name ( Municipio ) in the province of Cuanza Sul . The district covers 9980 km² with around 168,000 inhabitants (2006 estimate). The 2014 census should now provide accurate population data.

sons and daughters of the town
- Serafim Shyngo-Ya-Hombo (* 1945), former bishop of Mbanza Congo
