Rågø is an uninhabited Danish island in Smålandsfarvandet ( German  Smålandsfahrwasser ) north of the island of Lolland . The island belongs to the parish parish ( Danish : Sogn ) Horslunde Sogn , which belonged to Harde Lollands Nørre Herred until 1970 , then to the Ravnsborg Kommune, then Storstrøms Amt , which became part of the Lolland municipality in the Sjælland region on January 1, 2007 with the municipal reform is. Rågø is 83  hectares and still had around 30 residents in the 1930s, but all of them left the island by the 1960s.

The island has been owned by the environmental foundation Aage V. Jensen Naturfond since 1988 . The aim of the acquisition was to preserve the unspoilt tree and bush vegetation, as the effects of wind pollination from the main Danish islands are minimal. Pastures and salt meadows serve birds as resting and breeding areas and are designated as bird sanctuaries .

Sailors and surfers are allowed to enter Rågø in daylight.
