Réka Szilágyi (born January 19, 1996 ) is a Hungarian javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Réka Szilágyi gained her first international experience in 2013 at the Youth World Championships in Donetsk , where she took fourth place with a width of 54.24 m. The following year she took part in the Junior World Championships in Eugene , but was eliminated there with 49.29 m in qualification. In 2015 she reached fourth place with 55.91 m at the European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna, Sweden, and in 2017 she was ninth with 55.93 m at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz , before she took part in the Summer Universiade in Taipei with 52, 54 m landed in 13th place. Two years later she was fourth at the Student World Games in Naples with 59.02 m. In addition, she took part in the World Championships in Doha in September , where she was eliminated with 56.26 m in qualification .

In 2015 and 2016 as well as in 2019 and 2020 , Szilágyi was the Hungarian javelin champion.
