In addition to the production site in Büdingen, the Röder Group is represented internationally with subsidiaries in China , Russia , Turkey , Italy , France , Mexico, the United Kingdom and Switzerland , among others . Further trading offices are located in more than 30 countries. The operative business in Germany is handled by the subsidiary Röder Zelt- und Veranstaltungsservice GmbH .

history

In 1959, Röder was founded as a rental company for wooden tents in Wolferborn (today Büdingen ); In 1965, the company begins series production of its own tents with tarpaulin made of polyester and mixed fabrics. In the same year the development and rental of steel tents start. In 1975 Röder presented a large, cantilevered aluminum tent.

In 1976 the company set up its first foreign subsidiary in Beauvais (France); 1978 RÖDER moves into its own production halls at the current location in Wolferborn. A world first celebrates its premiere in 1984: with the first two-story tent, RÖDER consolidates its image as an innovation driver for mobile space solutions. Between 1985 and 1995 the company expanded its international involvement through subsidiaries and agents or joint ventures in around 20 countries.

In 1992 Röder equipped the Summer Olympics (in Barcelona) and the World Exhibition (in Seville) with mobile structures for the first time and went public . The majority of the shares went to Klöckner & Co in 1993 and to the scaffolding manufacturer Plettac AG from Plettenberg in 1998 . During this time the company traded as Plettac-Röder AG . In 1999 Röder acquired the “Textile Construction” product range from plettac AG. However, plettac AG, which has meanwhile been listed in the DAX, is in trouble and in 2000 is one of the biggest "capital destroyers" on the German stock market. On March 2, 2002, the Röder share was at EUR 0.85 when the company - now trading under the name Röder Zeltsysteme und Service AG again - was dissolved through a management buy-out . In the lead is the management team Rüdiger Blasius, Jens Brüggemann, Martin Osbeck and Thomas Roman. With the development of the share price from EUR 3.50 on January 2, 2004 to EUR 17.00 on December 30, Röder AG achieved a price performance of 486 percent. This makes the company one of the best performing stocks on the German stock exchanges at the time. On May 2, 2007, the price of the Röder AG share peaked at EUR 53.85. Martin Osbeck is leaving the company in March 2009. He is succeeded on the board by Jens Brüggemann.

In 2004 Röder AG founded "Roder Tent Service ( Shanghai ) Co., Ltd" (China). Roder Ooo (GmbH) in Moscow (Russia) and Röder Yapi Systemleri Ltd. follow in 2006 . in Istanbul (Turkey). In the same year Röder erected gigantic tent landscapes at four tournament locations for the soccer world championship in Germany and equipped the equestrian world championships in Aachen with mobile space solutions.

In 2007 Röder expanded its group of shareholders through a partnership with Zurmont Madison Management AG as the new majority shareholder and was included in the ranks of the 500 fastest growing European companies "Europe's 500 Listing". The shares are traded over the counter on the Berlin Stock Exchange , the Stuttgart Stock Exchange and the Munich Stock Exchange and on the regulated market ( General Standard ) of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. In 2008 the Röder in-house exhibition "INNOSCENE" celebrates its premiere, at which numerous innovations are presented in the following years.

In 2014 Röder founded a subsidiary in Mexico; in July of the same year the minority shareholders are released. With the entry of the transfer resolution in the commercial register , all shares of the minority shareholders are transferred to Zurmont Madison Deutschland GmbH. In 2015 the RAG-Stiftung Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH took over the Röder Group. In 2016 the company form and company name change: Röder Zeltsysteme und Service AG becomes Röder Zeltsysteme und Service GmbH.
