The Rösselsbach is a 1.4 km long right tributary of the Sauer in the southern Palatinate .

The Rösselsbach rises at an altitude of 244  m above sea level. NN in the western Wasgau directly next to the deserted Rösselsbrunnerhof on the southeast slope of the Rösselsberg and north of the Blaufels . It flows in a northeasterly direction and after a few meters enters the 39 hectare Rohrweiher-Rösselsweiher nature reserve . The Rösselsquelle is also located there . Almost 400 m to the northeast, the Rösselsbach is dammed into the small Rösselsweiher . The stream now leaves the nature reserve and after about half a kilometer it reaches the southern edge of Ludwigswinkel , where it is fed on its left by the Fischbachloch . The knight brook there is the at the foot of Black hump located Sägmühlweiher . To the north of Petersbächler Strasse, two side branches split briefly from the stream. The right branch takes on the outflow of the duck pond after about 400 m and then reunites with the main branch . The Rösselsbach now flows through the 7 hectare Klößweiher nature reserve with the pond of the same name and finally flows east of Ludwigswinkel at an altitude of 226  m above sea level. NN in the Saarbach .
