Rückersbach is a district of the Johannesberg municipality in the Lower Franconian district of Aschaffenburg . With the hamlet of Sternberg, it has an area of 303 hectares and 531 inhabitants.

Rückersbach is located on the AB 13 district road northwest of Oberafferbach . State road 2443 runs in the north between Hohl and Hörstein . The topographically highest point of the village mark is at the mountain summit of the Hague north of the place at 403 m above sea level. NN , the lowest is on Häggraben at 216 m above sea level. NN . The Franconian Marienweg runs above Rückersbach .
history
The municipality of Rückersbach belonged to the Alzenau district office , which was formed on July 1, 1862. On January 1, 1939, this became part of the Alzenau district in Lower Franconia .
In 1799 a chapel was built in Rückersbach, which was converted into the Rückersbach church in 1960. With the first voluntary phase of the territorial reform on July 1, 1972, the formerly independent communities of Breunsberg, Johannesberg, Oberafferbach and Rückersbach merged to form a new community called Johannesberg .

Mayor of the former municipality of Rückersbach
Conrad Eisert is the first mentioned mayor of the municipality of Rückersbach (mentioned in 1799, 1812, 1822). From 1830 the success of mayor is completely traceable: Kreß was mayor from 1830 to 1842, followed by Johann Kampfmann (1842–1854), Johann Georg Eisert (1854–1864), Konrad Eisert (1864–1886), and Gottfried Hock (1886–1911 ), Johann Kraus (1912–1929), Blasius Hock (1930–1933), Peter Anton Eisert (1933–1945) and Konrad Eisert (1946–1966). The last mayor was Hugo Eisert until 1972 Rückersbach became part of the Johannesberg community.
