Rüdiger Seger (born January 29, 1968 ) is a German chess player .

Life

At the 16th Tower Open in Lippstadt in 1997 he was tied first with Lev Gutman and Sebastian Siebrecht . In 1998 he won the 2nd Karl Mala memorial tournament in Griesheim . He won the North Rhine-Westphalian individual championship in 1998 and 2001.

In the top German league, the German Chess League, he played for the first time in the 1992/93 season , for the Bielefelder SK . In the 1993/94 season he played for the SF Dortmund-Brackel . At the end of the 1990s he first played for Zugzwang Minden , then for SV GW Frankfurt . His next season in the Bundesliga was the 2000/01 season , in which he played for Godesberger SK and, like his teammates Ferenc Langheinrich and Thomas Jackelen, achieved a standard for the title of international champion . From the 2007/08 season to the 2016/17 season he played in the Bundesliga for SG Trier , and has since played again for Godesberger SK . In the British Four Nations Chess League , Seger competes for the Chess.com Manx Liberty team, at company sports championships he plays for the Bonn team of Deutsche Post AG .

Since November 2002 Rüdiger Seger has held the title of International Master.
