The Rabenkopf is a 1555 meter high mountain in the Bavarian Prealps between Benediktenwand and Jochberg .
The ascent is from Jachenau , Kochel or the Ort district of Kochel . It is an easy hike, only from the north there is a short steep section with rope insurance. The transition to the Jochberg and further to the Kesselberg or the Benediktenwand or the Tutzinger hut is possible.
On the ascent from Jachenau and Kochel to the south, 200 meters below the summit, lies the Staffelalm, where Franz Marc spent several summers between 1904 and 1908 and left two frescoes inside the hut, in addition to painting the stove (no longer exist today).
