history

The punk rock band Radio Havanna has existed since 2002. Before that, the four members had shared musical experiences, influenced by bands such as The Offspring , Green Day , NOFX , Social Distortion or Pennywise , they started to cover songs, write their own songs and first To play concerts. In 2002 Fichte joined the band as a singer. Inspired by a rancid song, Fichte, Arni, Olli and Anfy gave their band the name “Radio Havanna” in 2002.

After the self-produced demo CD Hossing's brother , the band released their debut album Aus der Traum? on Fatsound Records. The CD was produced by Ronny Keil in Erfurt. Numerous concerts followed, including two extended tours in Germany and Austria. With the successor Generation X (2007), the band continued on the path they had chosen. The second CD was also produced by Ronny Keil and released on Fatsound Rec. In the same year the entire band moved from their home in Suhl / Thuringia to Berlin. In spring 2010 the album Lauter Zweifel was recorded and produced by Florian Nowak in the Daily Hero Studios Berlin. Also produced by Florian Nowak, the band's fourth studio album, Alerta , was released in May 2012 . The latest album was released on the Münster label "Uncle M". In his first song, Whispering, Shouting, Screaming , there is a bilingual duet with anti-flag frontman Justin Sane.

After ten years, the band can look back on more than 250 concerts and five album releases. Radio Havanna has already been a support act for numerous international greats such as Die Toten Hosen , Alexisonfire , Lagwagon , No Use for a Name , Sum 41 , Good Charlotte , Flogging Molly , or A Wilhelm Scream .

Radio Havana appeared as a guest band at Circus HalliGalli . During their performance, they showed signs that read "Antifascista".

The band drew attention to the protests in Turkey on their Facebook profile . In addition, she campaigns for the release of the imprisoned members of the band Pussy Riot and played a benefit concert for the band together with Anti-Flag in the Cassiopeia Club Berlin.
