Radio Patrol ( English radio patrol or patrol car ) is a 12-piece American Serial 1937 with science fiction elements along based on the comics of the same name by Eddie Sullivan and Charles Schmidt.

action

The inventor John P. Adams designed a flexible steel alloy that is ideal for armor protection . A gang of criminals wants to steal the secret formula on behalf of Mr. Tahata and murders Adams. The gang then try to kidnap Adam's son Pinky, who is in possession of the formula. While the police officers O'Hara and Maloney, together with O'Hara's friend Molly Selkirk, protect Pinky, they are on the trail of the criminals. Your job is made difficult by the fact that Mr. Tahata (The Great Warner) can turn people into zombies , which he uses for his own purposes.

This leads to spectacular chases with the O'Haras patrol car. In the fight against the gangsters, the police officers are supported by Pinky and his dog Irish. Eventually O'Hara discovers that the gang was acting on behalf of a respected steel mill owner who wanted to use the invention for himself. O'Hara barely escapes death and can solve the murder.

Production background

The serial is based on the then popular comic "Radio Patrol" by Eddie Sullivan and Charles Schmidt, which appeared in various American newspapers from 1933 to 1950 and was modeled on Dick Tracy . The two authors worked for the Boston Herald ; Sullivan was a police reporter, Schmidt the draftsman.
