Rafael Morais
Rafael Morais (born June 25, 1989 in Coimbra ) is a Portuguese actor .
Life
He played theater since the age of 14 and attended the theater school in Cascais , where he also took lessons in expressive dance and singing. He played his first supporting role in the free-form literary film adaptation of the Camilo Castelo Branco classic Um Amor de Perdição . The film was shown at various international festivals ( Locarno Film Festival , Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Las Palmas). He starred in Marco Martins ' How to Draw a Perfect Circle about the incest taboo in 2009. The film was the Portuguese candidate for the international Oscar and was screened at various international film festivals. For his role in the award-winning Sangue do Meu Sangue by João Canijo , he received international criticism. He last played in the US production Chasing Eagle Rock with his twin brother Edgar Morais .
In 2011 he made his directorial debut with the short film You are the Blood , for which he also wrote the screenplay. After various stays in the USA (Nature Theater of Oklahoma, Stella Adler Studio of Acting School in Los Angeles ), he now lives in Los Angeles .
