Rafaela Torres Gonçalves (born November 27, 1991 ) is a Brazilian javelin thrower .

Athletic career

International experience gained Rafaela Torres Gonçalves at the 2009 Junior South American Championships in Sao Paulo , where they m won the bronze with a distance of 47.42 before in the Pan American Junior Championships in Port of Spain m with 47.47 won the silver medal. The following year she won the bronze medal at the U23 South American Championships in Medellín , which were held as part of the South American Games, with 50.11 m and had to admit defeat to the Colombian María Lucelly Murillo and Katryna Subeldía from Paraguay. Then she reached the final at the Junior World Championships in Moncton, Canada , where she was fifth with a throw on 53.29 m. In 2015 she took part in the Summer Universiade in Gwangju and reached twelfth place with 50.02 m in the final, while at the 2017 Universiade in Taipei she was eliminated with 51.18 m in the qualification. In 2019 she finished fourth at the South American Championships in Lima with 53.20 m and was then twelfth at the Pan American Games there with 50.59 m.
