Raffaela Wais (born May 26, 1989 in Berlin ) is a German singer and actress. In December 2011 she came second in the German version of the music casting show X Factor .

Career

Her mother's ancestors lived in Latvia and her father's in Ukraine . Wais grew up in Berlin, attended elementary school on Delbrückstrasse and later the Jewish grammar school. As a girl she worked for three years in the children's ensemble Bim-Bam , later she appeared at events in the Jewish community center . In addition, she took private singing lessons. After graduating from high school, she began studying business administration . On March 3, 2012, Wais was a juror at Jewrovision in Munich.

2011: X Factor

From August to December 2011 she was in the second season of the German casting show X Factor on the private broadcaster VOX . With juror Das Bo as mentor, she competed in the solo singer category for 16 to 24 years. In the final on December 6, 2011, she lost to David Pfeffer . Her final song Heaven Only Knows entered the German charts at number 41.

2012: Going Crazy & This Is Me

On May 25, 2012, Wais released her second single Going Crazy . The song was able to place itself at number 2 on the media market charts. In the Media Control Charts, the song rose to number 73. An album entitled "This Is Me" has been announced for September 2012. The third single Work on My Body was released on September 7, 2012.
