Raffaele Forni
Raffaele Forni (born May 24, 1906 in Bedretto , Switzerland , † September 29, 1990 in Lugano ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .
Life
Raffaele Forni received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Lugano on July 29, 1934 .
On July 31, 1953, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Aegina and it ordered the Apostolic Internuncio in Iran . The Cardinal Secretary of State Eugène Cardinal Tisserant donated him episcopal ordination on September 13 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the secretary for extraordinary tasks of the Church, Archbishop Antonio Samorè , and the apostolic administrator of Lugano, Angelo Giuseppe Jelmini .
On September 24, 1955 Raffaele Forni was from Pius XII. appointed Apostolic Nuncio in Venezuela . Forni became Apostolic Nuncio in Uruguay on February 27, 1960 . On October 23, 1965, Raffaele Forni became an official in the Vatican State Secretariat . Pope Paul VI appointed him on June 17, 1967 apostolic nuncio in Syria . Forni resigned from this office on September 19, 1969.
Raffaele Forni attended the second, third and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
