Oskar Ragnar Birger Ekberg (born August 12, 1886 in Stockholm , † April 5, 1966 in Saltsjöbaden ) was a Swedish athlete .

At the Summer Olympics in London in 1908 , Olle Ragnar Ekberg took part in the long jump competition. With a width of 3.19 m, he finished fifth, three centimeters behind medalists Konstantinos Tsiklitiras from Greece and Martin Sheridan from the United States. Four years later, Ekberg took part in the 1912 Olympic Games in his native Stockholm . In the 100-meter runthe Swede failed as third in the last heat; he could not achieve his personal best of 11.0 seconds. Two days later he came in 13th place with 3.03 m in the last standing long jump competition in Olympic history.

In 1908 he became Swedish champion in standing vault with 1.45 m , from 1908 to 1911 he won the national championship in standing long jump four times in a row, in 1912 he was runner-up in standing long jump. With the 4 x 100 meter relay , he was runner-up in 1912, Swedish champion in 1913 and won the bronze medal in 1915. As early as 1908 Ekberg had repeatedly improved the Swedish record in the standing long jump, from 3.05 m on April 15 to 3.09 m at the national championships to 3.10 m on June 8, 1908. Ekberg only scored one at the 1912 Olympic Games greater width.

Ekberg started in 1908 for the Hammarby IF club , and in 1912 he joined the AIK Solna . He died at the age of 79.
